Christmas in NYC on a Budget

The holidays drain us, physically and financially but of course we want to see the lights, the shows, taste the holiday treats and with New Years around the corner, I'm sure your budget is tied down.

Well there are so many things to do in The Big Apple for free or next to nothing!

As tradition would have it, of course I'll direct you to Rockefeller Plaza first to go see the giant tree! There's ice skating right there in the center and with Fifth Avenue stores lit up with Christmas lights and in window displays, it is truly a beautiful sight.

Right in that same area is Radio City Music Hall full of different shows including a must see classic, The Rockettes.

What are the holidays without gift shopping and hot chocolate in Bryant Park?! Along with that skating rink, you're sure to enjoy a few hours there.

More skating in Central Park of course.

The Empire State Building is always festively colored.
